WILLIE MAYS AND A GERMAN SHEPHERD
NOVEMBER 10TH, 2009

Liv’s grandfather is turning 90 this weekend. I was going to paint him a little something. I asked what he liked. I was told he was a San Francisco Giants fan. I started to paint a true classic, Willie Mays. Just after I started I was informed that he wanted a painting a german shepherd. He’s getting both now. Quite the range of interests in paintings. There’s a painting on both sides of the panel. So now he has the option of changing his painting by flipping it over.

Oh shoot, I meant to tell you… he wants a painting of a beach now. Can you put that on the third side?

Or he could just use this composition to immortalize the time Willie Mays killed that German shepherd with his bat and have it all.

German Shepherds have double coats, this mean that they have very thick fur. Shedding may be a big problem if you don't brush them often so take some time to groom them properly. Most German Shepherds have short hair, however there are some that do have long hair.
